Pippa & Mark’s Wedding

A Stunning Wedding Day at Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel

Pippa & Mark met 16 years ago whilst both working at B&Q. Pippa didn’t really like Mark very much when she first met him. They became good friends though and eventually became a couple and have been together for 10 years

 The Proposal

Pippa tells us all about Mark’s proposal… “Mark proposed on my birthday. It was very chilled and low key, we were visiting and staying with my mum and I was getting ready for the day. I had just got out of the shower, towel on my head, no makeup on and he handed me the ring box and asked me to marry him. My first reaction was “are you seriously doing this now” because I was half naked and looked dreadful but of course I said yes lol. Not the most glamorous proposal but it was perfect”

The Big Day

Pippa & Mark recently married in October at the stunning Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel. Pippa told us how she felt on her special day “I honestly have never felt more beautiful. I hate having photos taken and I always feel so self conscious. I never think I look good and I don’t like being the centre of attention but in that dress, I felt amazing. I love our photos and a big part of that was the dress and how it made me feel and how relaxed I was in it. It also helped that our photographer is a genius! That dress was designed for a windy, autumn day and i looked better than I could have ever hoped for.”

Pippa’s special memory of the day was her and her husband Mark going for a walk around the grounds while their guests had some drinks, just having a little bit of time to themselves and enjoying being together.

Pippa’s Dress Me Pretty Experience

“I was terrified about dress shopping. I have no self confidence at all and all I believed was that no matter what I tried on, nothing was going to look right or good on me. I had found a dress online that I fell in love with and saw that Dress Me Pretty stocked it so I booked an appointment. The pre appointment questionnaire was really helpful because it gave me the ability to really describe the look I was going for. The communication and information leading up to my appointment was amazing, I felt really excited and more confident that I might actually find the dress! When I arrived at the beautiful boutique, Amy was so welcoming and made me feel so relaxed. She had set the dress aside that I really wanted to try on and quickly got me into it. In my head, this was absolutely the dress I was going to be wearing on my wedding day, but when I put it on, it just wasn’t the one. Amy was amazing and took my brief and listened to what I wanted and pulled me out a stunning dress that although I had seen before, never thought I could pull off. I put it on and instantly knew I had found the one. If Amy hadn’t of pulled that dress out I don’t think I ever would have considered trying it on. The whole experience was so much easier than I was thinking and i loved every minute of it”

‘The’ Dress

Pippa wore our Jett dress, by All Who Wander and doesn’t she look stunning.

“I honestly have never felt more beautiful. I hate having photos taken and I always feel so self conscious. I never think I look good and I don’t like being the centre of attention but in that dress, I felt amazing.”  she told us
