Holly & Elliot celebrated their wedding surrounded by their family and friends, with the beautiful Pippley Walled Garden providing the perfect setting for their day. From the heartfelt ceremony to the relaxed celebrations that followed, it was a wonderful day filled with love, laughter and plenty of special moments.
Tell us about your proposal
We were in Rhodes in Greece. It was a very hot day. Elliot had been saying he really wanted to go to this viewpoint for days. I kept putting it off and suggested other things to do and places to go- not having a clue that he was waiting to propose to me at this particular viewpoint. Four days into the holiday we finally went to the viewpoint. We set up a camera to take a picture and little did I know it was on record and he got down on one knee and proposed!
How did you feel on your big day?
SO excited! A little anxious but so ready for the day that we had been waiting for and planning for so long! I felt incredible in my dress. It was absolutely perfect in every way!
What’s your special memory of your wedding day?
Walking down the aisle with my mum and seeing Elliot crying at the end as he watched and waited for me. I never thought he would cry as he really isn’t a crier! Then that set me and everyone else off!
Tell us about your Dress Me Pretty experience
It was such a lovely experience from start to finish. I felt like I could take my time, I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. So much time and attention was put into the appointment to make sure that I found the perfect dress for me. Dress me Pretty was recommended to me by my friend who got married the year before I did and I will definitely be recommending it too!
What’s your advice to future bride-to-be’s
Take a step back on your wedding day and really take everything in. All of your hard work and planning will be SO worth it! Also, don’t worry- it all comes together on the day and the things you stress about beforehand you won’t give a second thought on the day. It goes so quick so make sure to enjoy every second!
