Evy & Andrew’s Wedding Day

A Intimate Wedding at Elmbridge Farm.

Evy & Andrew were married in June this year. Scroll down to read all about their day…

What’s your special memory of your wedding day?

There’s honestly too many. The whole day was a dream. There were key points during the day which will stick with me. My bridesmaid made me a book full of letters and photographs from all my girlfriends who came on the hen do and reading some of those in the morning was pretty emotional and just so thoughtful. Seeing Andrew at the top of the aisle, I made a beeline for him because I was a bit nervous about all the people being there, but it was so wonderful I barely noticed how many guests there were. And his reaction to seeing me was just everything. We had a celebrant ceremony and it was the best decision. Guests kept saying how it was the most personal wedding they had been to and how they hadn’t seen anything like it before. It truly made the day more unique. We also had a private exchange of vows in the woods which was really wonderful and intimate.

Tell us about your Dress Me Pretty experience

I knew I wanted a more bohemian dress, something different but still unmistakably bridal. Dress me pretty totally delivered! The range of dresses was fantastic. It felt like they genuinely had something for everyone. I brought my dress at the All who wonder trunk show and it just matched the vibe of the day perfectly. Dress me pretty also recommended the most fantastic seamstress- Kerry Arnold. She was just the absolute best and made my dress fit me like a glove with just a few adjustments. She also made me a cape from scratch to match the dress once I realised I needed something a little more bridal but didn’t want a veil.

What’s your advice to future bride-to-be’s

I really liked doing a dress reveal and not showing my bridesmaids the dress but because I got it so early it felt like I was keeping the dress a secret for ageeees! I would also say, try on a load of accessories/veils/capes with your dress because trying to decide afterwards when you don’t have the dress at home is really difficult.
