Tell us about your proposal
Patrick took me for a picnic at Bradgate Park, proposed overlooking the deer in the park.
How did you feel on your big day?
Oddly calm, don’t think it had sunk in that I was getting married until there was nothing left to do I.e. finished getting ready. Had a little cry just before walking down the aisle haha as it hit me it was my wedding day! After that was just so happy, couldn’t keep still at the top of aisle as was just so excited.
What’s your special memory of your wedding day?
So many special moments, I think the little moments where me and Pat got to spend just the two of us.
Tell us about your Dress Me Pretty experience
I was starting to give up hope that the dress I wanted did not exist having been to 3 other bridal shops prior to Dress Me Pretty. I had tried on dresses previously I liked but didn’t love. I like how DMP have their dresses and prices online for you to look at and post new arrivals on social media – it was a post on Instagram that made me book in, as a new dress had arrived in that I thought would tick all the boxes for me. Although I had a dress in mind, it was nice to look through all the dresses in store too, as not all bridal shops let you do that. One I went to they picked out dresses for you which is fine but I had fomo not being able to look myself! The dress I’d seen online was indeed the one but also saw another which was a close second. Jade helped me choose my dress and Kerry helped me at collection and with picking a veil… both were very knowledgeable about the dress collection and nothing was too much trouble! Lovely ladies and the boutique is gorgeous! Thank you for all your help.
What’s your advice to future bride-to-be’s
Go in with an open mind, try different styles on (even if on the hanger you don’t think it’s for you) because you might be surprised and it can help you narrow down what you do and don’t want in your dress.
